Art Every Day Month

I'm going to have to look into this tree obsession of mine . . .

I created the tree and coloured the blocks last night, but wasn't sure how I was going to fill in the branches until this morning when I read Skip to My Lou's post about being thankful.

In case you can't read the writing on the sky background, it says, "I am always thankful for . . ."

We're between Thanksgiving celebrations in Canada and the US, but are you thinking about the things for which you are thankful? I need to do that on a regular basis!

  1. What a nice piece, you have some nice handwriting, even when I try mine looks like chicken scratch.

  2. Thank you, Missy :) Calligraphy is one of the few things I remember from my high school education. That, and how to write an essay ;)

  5. What a great pice of art! I love your tree - I might have to work with this theme in the future after seeing what you did with it!

Have a wonderful weekend - if you have a chance, join me for A Moment Of Worship this weekend!

  6. I'm a big fan of trees: in art ANd nature. Am drawn to the strong lines of this picture even without being readily able to read the words - almost like scratches on bark. Lovely!

  7. Tammy -- I like the scratches on bark idea:) In fact, I originally thought I was going to fill in the branches with swirly scratches. Thanks for stopping by:)

Ramona -- I'm honoured to have inspired you :) I will definitely try to remember to stop in for a Moment of Worship -- it sounds wonderful! Thanks for visiting!
