Monday Musings on the Creator in Me

Last year, my sweet friend Missy collaborated with a few friends and started a blog called Making Dinner More Delightful. The premise is that they all recognize the value of family meal times and wish to make them more than haphazard hashes of whatever can be thrown together at five to five. I think that's more than admirable -- it's downright respectable and responsible. They have their priorities right, in my opinion :)

If you've read much of my blog, you may remember a post I wrote about one of our family's traditions which we call The Blessing Meal. I'll be blunt and tell you, though, that it's been all too long since we had such a special meal. In fact, dinner time has become an abismal saga of soggy frozen food lately.

So rather than waxing philosophical about the Creator in Me this week, I'm going to issue a challenge to all of us (including me!) that simply involves tapping in to that Creator:

Do something to make just one dinner more delightful this week.

Perhaps you could try one of the recipes offered at Making Dinner More Delightful.

Perhaps you could make an international meal in honour of some place that you are studying in your geography lessons (the theme at HSB this week).

Or maybe you could try your hand at setting a lovely table with some of the interesting things  you have around your home. (Do a search of "tablescapes" if you need inspiration.)

Will you accept the challenge????????

Whatever you do, let me know how it turns out, OK? Leave a comment -- and better yet, a link to a picture!
