Word Art Wednesday - June 27, 2012

I'm not one to make art focused on myself -- but the verse for this week is just so applicable to my life that I decided to make myself associate it with me in this week's Word Art Wednesday challenge:

This cancer journey is not fun. Sometimes it's very discouraging. It's easier to have a happy heart about it all when I'm feeling well -- but lately I've been feeling pretty lousy. When I feel lousy,  hope is less bright. But this verse reminds me that God has GOOD plans for my life, and the future holds the fulfillment of those plans!

I'm sure that this verse has significance for your life, too! Create a piece of art about it (or any other inspirational verse), and you could win something from Eclectic Anthology.

  1. Xinme, I am praying better days ahead for you, God will bless you through this. You are under His watchful eye. It seems that stormless lives are really not a blessing, when the real damage done is in moving us toward self righteousness, and moving us away from God (even without those wind storms).I love your beautiful picture and what a wonderful word of truth to cling to during your storm. Much love!

  3. I believe self portraits, realistic, abstract or symbolic, are a marvelous way to look at ones needs, weaknesses, dreams, goals, strengths, etc. I love the scripture too, because I do tend to like to be in control. It reminds me that I have to trust that He has the best plan for me. Although not scriptural, I used a quote in a tag in yesterday's post that I need to remember. Blessings!

  4. I too thought of you when I saw this verse. Once God brings you thru the valley-you are going to prosper on the other side! I can't wait to see all the good blessings he bestows on you & your family.

  5. I am new to WAW, but when I saw your piccy and project over there, I knew without a doubt I had to rush to your blog. you are sooo brave to do a project of yourself right now. I say that only because I wear those same scarves myself because of the fight with the cancer monster, too. I don't recognize the person in the mirror any longer, and haven't had a photo taken in such a while. but you have given me courage to perhaps do it again....

you are so beautiful! I am anxious to read more of your blog to find out about your journey, but know without a doubt you do not walk it alone. God not only holds your hand, but He has placed so many on the road to cheer you on to victory! :)

  11. Amen, Paula! Amen! I do so understand how discouraging it can be in tough times. But I'm so glad you still keep faith.

This art really touches me. The picture is just beautiful. And however times right now is so hard on you, you still shine on that picture. You are such a tough lady. And God indeed had big plans for you. We only have to keep the faith and trust in Gods timing. I think that's the hardest thing to do. Just wait......

    Have a blessed day, Paula!
