It's Canada Day, and I thought it would be fun to get outside and do some BIG art -- just for fun. I made it a "required" activity just to get the bigs out and engaged in something creative -- but I think they had fun after all ;) The littles certainly did, and made grandiose plans for a gallery showing later in the day. (Until a splash pad opportunity arose:)
One of the neighbour children joined us.
The glitter paint was quite popular -- with good reason! Even I used lots of it:)
DD9 reminded us again that every colour has a sound :)
The best part for the littles was seeing how all the colours mixed and blended! DD9 especially wanted me to see this combination on her brush:
Have you done any big and beautiful art lately -- just for the fun of the process?
Update: After returning from the splash pad, DD9 and two of her friends got busy setting up the "museum" of art -- taping everyone's work to the garage doors for the neighbourhood to enjoy!
Lovely art exhibit here! Thanks for some inspiration...
